Hey! Our dog can surf

It's true. Saw it myself. But not in the conventional sense. Stella - and I've noted this before - can't exactly be described by using the word graceful or nimble but rather clumsy and forcefully awkward. Stella was in her usual perch, lying on top of the blanket while my wife was asleep and when the blanket moved, our little pug was rolling with the undulating motion of the blanket. Most dogs would just bail on snuggling with their owner but not ours.

Total nutball!

My wife's back is buggered--again. But this time, it's worse. She couldn't even sit in the car to drive herself to work, and spent the day prone but that was after the emerg doctor injected her with an anti-inflammatory and sent her off with a prescription for T3s.

Tonight I volunteered to start making this chicken pot pie for tomorrow's dinner but then wifey pulled herself off the couch, brandished a knife and gave me a hand. Not being a natural cook (I do like watching cooking shows), I appreciated this as it cut my prep time in half. All this while we watched "The Biggest Loser."

We're hoping her back heals quickly because we booked an Olympic ski getaway with another couple. I'm sure it will. Besides, it's no fun when she's writhing in pain. And the getaway is taking us away farther away from Vancouver we aren't going to be there. No thank you VANOC.

Right now, I'm watching "Art Mann" presents. He's apparently at the country's largest music festival.
