What happened?

i REMEMBER blogging at least once, (OK, once) since my wife's last post. As a matter of fact, I remember using the word "wifey" at least once. I log on tonight and--nothing since Jan. 21. Bullshyte! I am very upset right now because although I recall very little of my previous post, I spent at least a half hour getting the words down. And, now NOTHING!

In the time expired since her post, we've gone skiing, I had a birthday, drank about 43 cups of joe, 30+ beer, 20 glasses of wine and two glasses of scotch. And there were other things I did, too.

The Olympics are two days off and we decided long ago that rather than head to Vancouver to take in the excitement, being one of those average people that really can't fork out hard-earned hundreds for The Games, we're going to take in some of it at home, in HD, which, admittedly will mean I'll probably watch more than it we did not have HD.

We enjoy The Office because it proves that even incompetents like Michael Scott can rise to positions of authority and because we like to dislike Dwight and, we think Pam and Jim are a great TV couple next to Mike and Carol Brady perhaps.

So... we're back to giving consideration about making a move - somewhere - where we can earn a decent (and I am speaking objectively here) wage rather than being lulled into the doldrums of low wages and a sunshine tax synonymous with the Okanagan. If this were a movie, we'd shrug off the desires of family and friends to travel to some far-off country and carve out a niche for ourselves with the help of a character played by Michael Caine.

Next week at this time, we'll be at Red Mountain in Rossland probably soaking in the hot tub with a bottle of wine on the side. A couple of days there and then off to Nelson and the Whitewater ski resort. Wifey's never been to Nelson so it should be a good time. It's a neat little town especially if the main street is dolloped with snow.

Now, I'm off to bed and will be lulled into a trance by another episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show ...

Disregard my opening paragraph about the missing post. I found it under "drafts." Mea culpa.
